Janet Stewart - Principle Dentist
My Philosophy
I believe in giving patients the highest quality of care. Abbeyview’s philosophy is to treat each person as an individual with different needs and make sure that they enjoy visiting the dentist as much as possible. Many of our patients have been visiting Abbeyview for the 80 years that it has been established for.
We move with the times, having recently become fully computerised with digital xrays that patients can view on the screen in their treatment room with their dentist.
Staff morale is also very important and we are proud to announce that we ranked above average on a recent national survey for every aspect of staff satisfaction.
Janet qualified from Glasgow University in 2008. She did her post graduate training in Greenock where she was then asked to stay on in a busy practice, offering both NHS and private dentistry. She worked there for 11 years and enjoyed building up a great relationship with her patients. Janet has also worked remotely on the Isle of Bute before she bought over Abbeyview at the beginning of 2020.
Janet’s favourite area of her job is the people and the satisfaction she gets daily from patient care. Janet interests are in oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and dentures.
Outside of work, Janet has three kids and enjoys walking, gardening and socialising. She also plays the drums, has an old VW beetle and regularly goes out on the back of the motorbike.
